Welcome to Hairstory, an exclusive one on one private hair studio tucked away in the village of Rhinebeck, where owner and stylist Jessie Montague resides.

Jessie creates a warm and vibrant atmosphere in which she can fully focus her craft on YOU her client. Without the busy fray of a multi-stylist salon, Hairstory is an oasis away from the loud hum of the world.

A Unique Experience

Jessie specializes in dry-cutting. A style of hair cutting that she learned from her mentor Jen Donovan (Le Shag) and Jen’s mentor Mark Ferraro. Dry cutting is a unique approach to haircutting that works with the hair as it lives, without a lot of manipulation from hot tools and heavy styling products. Dry cutting is wonderful for all hair types and can be especially suited for curly and wavy hair.

With hair the stakes are high, I know I’ve got to bring my A game every time a person steps into my studio, you don’t get a lot of second chances with hair.
